Opportunities for Fellowship and Service
SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Sunday School will have their Christmas Program at 4 PM on Sunday, December 14th with the Sr. High Youth Group serving a free will offering soup supper. We have already begun practicing for our Sunday School Christmas program. Parts have been assigned and will be sent home. The kids do NOT have to memorize their lines as they can have their scripts on stage with them. Weather permitting, we will have a full dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 13th at 10 AM. If your children will not be able to be in the program on Sunday, December 14th, please let Misty Miller or April Flannery know as soon as possible so their part can be reassigned. Thank you.
Annual reports are due on Monday, December 1st.
Wednesday, December 3rd Pioneer Club will have a Family Christmas party. Please RSVP to the office (296-3339) by Dec. 1st with the number attending from your family.
Jr. and Sr. High youth groups will meet at Pastor John's home (parsonage at end of Main Street) on Decmeber 3rd to accomodate the Pioneer Club Christmas party.
Sunday, December 7th, will be the the first meeting of the confirmands and mentors. They will meet at noon and share in a meal together.
The snow removal sheet is on the bulletin board. Once you have cleaned, check off your name and call the next person on the list. If anyone wishes to have their name added to the list, let Starlyn know.
WOMEN OF FAITH: October 16 and 17 will be next year's Women of Faith Conference. We ordered 50 tickets for Memorial Lutheran in Sioux Falls and United Church. They have already sold 15. There is a sheet on the bulletin board for you to sign if you plan on attending in 2009. If there is a lot of interest, we will need to order more tickets. So please sign the sheet if you think you will be going!!
There are forms on the Heritage Cabinet if you are interested in the Dave Ramsey financial planning class. It is a 13 week session costing $100.
If you are interested in an intergenerational mission trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa next July or early August, those slips are also on the Heritage Cabinet.
There are several children’s activity bags in the back of the sanctuary by the usher pew to keep little ones occupied during the service. Please return them to the stand after the service. There are also activity pages and coloring pages on the Heritage Cabinet in the Narthex for children to work on.
